Why Uganda for Gorilla Trekking?

Best Time to Go
The best months for gorilla trekking are during the dry seasons:
June to September - Long dry season with clear trails
December to February - Short dry season with fewer tourists
However, gorilla trekking is possible year-round. The wet seasons offer lower permit prices and fewer crowds.
What to Expect on Trek Day
Your day begins early at the park headquarters for a briefing around 7:30 AM. Rangers will assign you to a gorilla family based on your fitness level. The trek can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 6 hours depending on where the gorillas are located.
Once you find the gorillas, you'll have exactly one hour to observe and photograph them from a distance of 7 meters. This hour passes incredibly quickly, so soak in every moment.
