About 11:11AM Safari Tours

Born in Kigali. Built for the curious.

Founded in 2020 and based at Norrsken House Kigali, 11:11AM Safari Tours was built on a single belief — travel should leave you changed. Not just checked-in and checked-out, but genuinely, irreversibly moved.

We cover Rwanda and four EAC countries: Uganda, DR Congo, Kenya and Tanzania. Our packages range from gorilla trekking and conservation journeys to wellness retreats, MICE conference extensions, and fully custom itineraries designed around you. Every journey includes a signature 11:11 moment — the experience you will still be telling people about years later.

We are a small, multilingual team fluent in English, French, Kinyarwanda, Swahili and Lingala. We respond within 1 hour. We do not do generic.

The 11:11 Promise

Every journey has a portal.
We find yours.

We are a Kigali-born, multilingual team with deep roots in Rwanda, the DRC, Tanzania, and across the EAC. We don't read about our destinations — we grew up speaking their languages, eating their food, and understanding their complexity.

When you travel with 11:11AM, you're not getting a tour guide. You're getting an insider who knows what's behind the hill, who the local coffee farmer is, and exactly which moment of morning light will stop your breath.

Multilingual depth

English, French, Kinyarwanda, Swahili, and Lingala. We talk to communities in their own voice — which means you hear Rwanda's real stories, not the tourist-facing version.

Community-first economics

Every package channels a portion of revenue directly to local guides, artisans, and community agents. When you book with us, communities benefit — measurably.

Intentional design

We don't stack 11 attractions into 7 days. Every itinerary is designed around moments of stillness, connection, and revelation — the ones you'll still be talking about in 10 years.

Multi-country fluency

From Rwanda to Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and DR Congo — five EAC countries, one seamless operation. Cross-border journeys are our specialty, not our stretch.

Regional Reach

Rwanda, Uganda, DR Congo,
Kenya & Tanzania.

Traveller Stories

What our guests say

"

The gorilla trekking moment was everything — but what stayed with me was the reconciliation session in Musanze. I came for the wildlife and left changed by the people. Gracia anticipated every need before I knew I had it.

We came for a 3-day MICE extension after our Kigali conference and ended up booking a second trip six months later. The Nyungwe silence retreat completely reset my nervous system. This is not your typical safari company.

As someone from the diaspora visiting East Africa for the first time, the African Roots Expedition hit everything I didn't know I needed. Rwanda, Uganda, Zanzibar in 8 days — seamless, emotional, unforgettable.

Best time to visit Rwanda

Jun – Sep
Dry Season

Peak gorilla trekking. Clear skies, firm trails. Best wildlife visibility at Akagera. Busiest and most expensive period.

★ Recommended
Oct – Nov
Short Rains

Lush green landscapes, fewer tourists, lower prices. Gorilla trekking still excellent. Light rain mostly in afternoons.

Good value
Dec – Feb
Short Dry

Another excellent window. Warm and mostly dry. Great for combining Rwanda with a Tanzania or Kenya extension.

Great for EAC combos
Mar – May
Long Rains

Heaviest rainfall. Trails muddy. Lowest prices and fewest tourists. Vegetation is spectacular. Still possible — just prepared.

Budget-friendly

Rwanda is a year-round destination. Gorilla trekking runs every day regardless of season. Ask us what time is best for your specific journey.
